BAD Step-Sister

What BAD Step-Sister is about

Daisy, an adult stepsister, spends the summer in her step-brother's apartment, only twenty feet from his girlfriend, who suspects nothing at first. The apartment is small, the summer is long and the secret keeps growing. A secret that started at a wedding is now a habit he cannot break. Then the girlfriend finds out and decides she wants to be part of it.

Episode 1 recap

Daisy, an adult stepsister, turns up at her stepbrother's apartment and says Dad has told her she can stay the summer. He is surprised, and his partner asks who she is.

Daisy is cheerful and teasing and says she is sorry about the trip, because she is very much in need of a shower. His partner wonders whether she is always like that. He insists that his dad said it was fine for her to stay.

The apartment is small, and his partner is only about twenty feet away. Daisy has a way of reacting to him that is hard to explain. The episode closes on his promise to talk to her and on a knock at the door, with a question about who it is.

Close quarters

An apartment has thin walls and few hiding places, and the story uses both. The secret is too well established to end, and the closeness of the girlfriend keeps raising the stakes. Daisy is a grown woman and a step-sibling, not a blood relative.

The balance of the triangle shifts when the girlfriend wants in. It sits comfortably in the stepsister collection. Episodes are vertical and last about a minute.
