My Boss Took Me Instead

What My Boss Took Me Instead is about

Gia's husband, the company's CEO, pulls out of an important client trip, so she takes a junior associate in his place. The deal depends on pretending they are married, and they share one suite and one bed. Soon the act stops feeling like an act. A new, workplace-flavored romance between adults. What began as a cover story gets harder to separate from the real thing.

Episode 1 recap

A boss has to close the biggest deal of the year, and the client insists on dealing only with married couples. Her husband is out of the picture, so she tells her junior associate to pack a suit: he is going as her plus one.

He passes it off to his girlfriend by phone as a trip with a very professional boss. At the hotel the boss tells the client that her husband will sign, then tells him privately that for three days he is her husband and had better keep up.

Over the toast he is asked how long they have been married, and she answers that it feels like forever. He is rattled, and she tells him to breathe and reminds him that she does not bite, at least not until he asks nicely. All of them are adults.

What to expect

Pretend marriage is an old trick, and this series plays it with a business-trip twist. The client expects a married couple, the husband is not coming, and Gia, an adult woman with authority, fills the gap with a junior colleague who has no idea what he is in for.

The tags say MILF, and the hook is the shared suite. It is a recent release on Candy Shorts, in short vertical episodes of about a minute each.
