Room for Two

What Room for Two is about

To make his mortgage, a man rents out his spare room. One woman moves in, and then a second shows up wanting the same spot. His girlfriend is on her way home, but both women are determined to win the tenancy, whatever it takes. A cheeky rivalry story between adults. It is all rivalry, flirting and bad timing.

Episode 1 recap

A man rents out his spare room to cover his mortgage. A woman named Sonia arrives to see it and learns that someone beat her to it that morning, someone who showed up early and made very good arguments.

Sonia says she has not made hers yet and talks her way inside. The first tenant, already comfortable, asks the landlord for a towel. Then his girlfriend calls on speaker to say she got off early and is twenty minutes away.

He admits two women are at the house for the same room, and the girlfriend decides she has to see that. The two rivals are left sizing each other up. Sonia's pitch is that whatever the first one offered him in the morning, she will top before the girlfriend gets there. Everyone is an adult.

What to expect

Room for Two is a competition dressed up as a housing problem. There is one spare room, two women who both want it and a landlord who is not very good at saying no. The clock is his girlfriend, who is driving home and will not be impressed.

It is light on backstory and heavy on rivalry, in vertical episodes of about a minute each. It is among the newest series on Candy Shorts.
