Her Stepmom Is the Boss

What Her Stepmom Is the Boss is about

His partner gets him a job through a favor, and he lands under her stepmother, a glamorous executive who turns out to run the entire floor. She is an adult woman with her own agenda, and it has little to do with his job description. Every meeting she calls ends with him staying behind, and he is not sure he minds.

Episode 1 recap

He lands a job at his partner's request, only to learn that his new boss is her stepmother, Mrs. Margot Vey. She is a glamorous executive, and she runs the whole floor. Mrs. Vey says her stepdaughter begged her to hire him and warns him not to embarrass her.

In a meeting she cuts through a presentation in seconds: slide four is wrong. She clears the room. He is the only one who dares to tell her the truth, she says, and she suggests he stay after hours, just the two of them.

His partner texts that she is coming soon, and he has to go. Mrs. Vey tells him nine o'clock, her office. Yes, ma'am, he says. Both women are adults.
