What Honeymoon with My Mother-in-Law is about

Tom and Ava married a week ago and are now at a beach resort. Then Ava's mother arrives, books the adjoining room with a connecting door and announces that the marriage will not last the week. She sets out to prove her point, very politely,, and Tom is her test case, while Ava has no idea.

Episode 1 recap

Tom and Ava are a week into their marriage at a beach resort. By the pool, Tom notices a striking woman, and then realizes she is his mother-in-law. This is an AI character modeled on Lexi Luna, who did not film the scene.

She says she could not let her only daughter begin married life without her nearby. Ava goes to get drinks and tells them to stay put, and Tom is left alone with the mother, who tells him marriage suits him.

She also announces that she booked the room next door, complete with a connecting door. Ava heads off to take a bath and asks Tom not to let her mom stay long. The mother-in-law says she did not travel all this way to sit by the pool, and that she plans to make sure her daughter is looked after in every way.

The lead is Lexi Luna’s AI digital twin. It is an AI character modeled on her: she did not film these scenes.

Our take

Worth it if you like a polite but pushy older woman, a resort setting and the constant risk of the new wife walking in.

Another Lexi Luna twin series, with a similar older woman who takes charge of the situation, but Thanksgiving with My Best Friend's Mom stays in a kitchen instead of a resort. Thanksgiving with My Best Friend’s Mom

The room next door

A honeymoon should be the safest place for a new couple. Here the danger sits behind a connecting door, with a mother-in-law who is confident, witty and sure of herself. The setting is sunny, the rivalry is personal, and the newlyweds have nowhere to hide. It is a tense game of cat and mouse played in bathrobes and resort corridors.

This is a digital twin series. The mother-in-law is an AI character modeled on Lexi Luna, a well-known adult performer who did not film this series.
