Kiss the Bride, Stepbro

What Kiss the Bride, Stepbro is about

Ava's fiancé cannot attend any of the wedding preparations, so her adult stepbrother Leo takes his place: the vows rehearsal, the dress fitting, the kiss and, as the story hints, the wedding night. What starts as a favor slowly stops looking like one, and the question is how long a stand-in can stay a stand-in.

Episode 1 recap

Ava has a wedding to rehearse and no fiancé in sight, so she pulls her adult stepbrother Leo into the room and tells him that today he is Brad. Brad, it seems, is always busy. Leo is meant to be a placeholder for the practice run.

Ava talks through where Brad stands, where he holds her and what he never gets right. Her fiancé shows up on a call and learns that a stand-in has been found, and he waves it off because the stepbrother seems harmless.

Leo answers with a short vow of his own, promising to notice when she goes quiet. Then the officiant line arrives, and Ava says they should find out just how harmless he is. That is where the free episode leaves you.

What to expect

A stand-in story with a clear escalation. Each step of the wedding checklist becomes an excuse to stand a little closer, and the title tells you where the kiss is headed.

Ava and Leo are both adults and related only by marriage. Short vertical episodes of about a minute keep the pace brisk, moving from rehearsal to fitting room to the big day.

The mood is romantic, a little forbidden and suggestive, with close-ups and lingering looks instead of anything graphic. Both of them have a reason to say no, and neither seems to use it.
