My Father’s New Queen

What My Father’s New Queen is about

An aging king takes a new bride, and the prince is close to her in age. On the wedding night she slips into the prince's chamber instead of the king's. As he loosens her gown he spots a brand on her shoulder that marks her as an enemy agent. Desire and danger now share the same room.

Episode 1 recap

In a royal court, the aging king takes a new bride who is about the prince's age. Before the whole court, the prince is made to kneel and kiss her hand, and the room laughs. She meets his eyes in a way no stepmother should.

That night she appears in his chamber instead of the king's. The king has drunk himself to sleep, she says, and the servants talk. The prince reminds her that she is his father's wife, and she answers that she knows exactly whose wife she is.

Then comes the turn: he sees the mark on her shoulder and understands she belongs to the enemy his father has fought for ten years. She tells him he can run and tell the king, or stay. Both characters are adults.

What to expect

Court intrigue meets a bedroom thriller. My Father's New Queen builds its pull from secrets: who she really answers to, what the prince will do with what he saw, and how long the king stays in the dark.

It has no category tags on Candy, but it fits the fantasy side of the catalog, with castle halls, candlelight and period costume. Expect suggestive, not explicit, scenes. Every episode is a short vertical clip of about one minute.
