What Under Her Armor is about

A timid office worker discovers that his quiet coworker is secretly softbunny_xo, the cosplay queen he adores online. As their virtual flirtation becomes real, he has to protect her double life and show that he wants the woman behind both identities. Both are adults, and neither is quite who the other expected. The secret is the thrill.

Episode 1 recap

The episode opens in a fantasy scene: a knight is told to keep his eyes on a warrior woman while he swings his sword. She mocks him and dares him to do his job. It turns out to be a video playing on his screen, and the person speaking is his boss, who has caught him.

She asks if it is the bunny cosplayer again and says that if she sees that streamer on his screen one more time, he is done. She adds that she actually likes him, so he should listen.

Embarrassed, he stumbles into a quiet coworker, Lily from Desk C, who helps him out. He notices her bracelet is identical to the white rabbit's, and the truth lands: she is the cosplayer. She tells him she saw him watching and that he should come find her tonight.

Our take

Worth it if you like a hidden-identity setup where the shy coworker is the online star he adores. It is a warm, geeky story that leans on cosplay and secret flirting.

Where My Bachelor Gift Was My Fiancée’s Mom hides a taboo secret inside a family, this one hides a double life inside an office, but both build on knowing something others must not.

Two identities

The charm lies in the double life. By day she is the quiet desk neighbor, and online she is a confident cosplay star. He is the only person who has put the two together.

Candy gives it no category tag. The mood is office romance with an online-fandom twist, in vertical episodes of about a minute.

Protecting her secret is the plot's backbone. The pressure is not just attraction but trust, and the question of which identity he is actually falling for. Each episode adds one more layer to the secret.
