Staycation with My Fiancee’s Mother

What Staycation with My Fiancee’s Mother is about

A flirtation with his fiancée's mother, an adult woman, grows into an affair during a holiday by the lake. When they come close to being caught on the edge of betrayal, unexpected events threaten to expose everything. A taboo story of temptation and risk, told between adults. The lake house offers privacy, but not nearly as much as they hope, and the holiday has to end sometime.

Episode 1 recap

A man says he was engaged to Sophie, then met her mother, Veronica Parker, and could not stop thinking about her. In the opening scene the couple arrives to see Veronica, who has not yet seen the ring in person and says she cannot believe the engagement is real.

Veronica greets him with a teasing remark that she has heard things about him. Dinner is in twenty minutes, and they toast the happy couple and a week with nothing on the calendar. The father is held up, as usual.

Later, when Sophie says she is going to bed, he is not tired and Veronica offers him a dance as the future son-in-law. She tells him to breathe, adds that she does not bite and then lets one line hang: not on the first night, anyway.

What to expect

Where some Candy series are one-night setups, this one follows an affair as it builds. It starts as flirting, becomes a habit and then runs into the question of who might walk in. A lakeside holiday gives it plenty of quiet corners and plenty of ways to get caught.
