Our New Babysitter

What Our New Babysitter is about

His wife hires the babysitter, a grown woman, and never thinks to ask what she might do with her husband once the family is asleep. The title sets the stage for an evening arrangement that becomes something the household did not plan, and the quiet hours are where it happens. The wife made the booking, and the story is about what she did not think to ask.

Episode 1 recap

The babysitter, a grown woman, tells the husband she has the household’s two sleepers settled and that his wife said to help herself to anything in the house. She is confident, and she says she is good at her job.

She teases him for being bossy. When his phone buzzes, he says he is busy babysitting and cannot talk right now. A call comes in from the sitter's boyfriend, and she says he is her boyfriend for now.

She asks what time his wife gets home, and the answer is midnight, which leaves hours of quiet ahead of them. She replies that she gets paid by the hour and tells him to put her to work.

What to expect

It is a domestic secret with a simple structure: the wife makes the arrangement, the sitter arrives, and the house goes still. The babysitter is an adult, and the premise leaves it to her to decide how the evening unfolds.

Candy tags it Wife. Late-night kitchen talks, a hallway meeting and the sound of a house settling are the kind of beats you can expect. Episodes last about a minute and mix close-ups with teasing dialogue. The tone is suggestive and slow, and it never gets graphic.
