The Prince’s Last Week Unwed

What The Prince’s Last Week Unwed is about

A week before his royal wedding, the prince is visited by his step-cousin, Lady Antonella, who has ridden in to witness the vows. Both are adults. She has no intention of letting him forget the night they once spent together, and every day of the countdown brings it back. Whether the prince can keep his composure before the ceremony is the question hanging over the week.

Episode 1 recap

The prince's step-cousin, Lady Antonella, arrives after four days on the road to be there before his wedding. Both are adults, and he replies that he would expect no less of her.

At a tournament, custom says the champion gives his ribbon to his bride. Instead he hands it to his step-cousin, and the crowd goes quiet. She asks whether that is a declaration, and says she has not forgotten their night long ago.

Princess Maren, the bride, is announced and takes her place. Antonella tells the prince that she wishes to have him again, and that at tonight's feast she will find him, so he should leave his bride at the table.

What to expect

This is a storybook romance with a clear deadline. The prince has seven days left as an unmarried man, and an old secret has just arrived at court.

The Lady is the visitor, the past is the leverage, and the wedding is the pressure. Candy tags it Fantasy and Taboo. Episodes last about a minute and use royal settings, close-ups and quiet conversations, so each one lands like a short scene from a longer court drama. The tone is suggestive and dramatic, with nothing graphic.
